1970’s Tissot Sideral Automatic Swiss Date Vintage Watch – Needs Service About the watch & condition:  Here we have a nice Tissot Sideral with an automatic movement. The watch does need some TLC as you can see from the pictures and will need a service. Currently when placed on a Timegrapher it runs okay however the hands get stuck making timekeeping impossible. With a service you’ll be able to fix this no problem. More details below; The dial is a stunning blue with nice white hands and indexes. It a great looking dial with minimal signs of wear. As shown the Crystal is heavily worn with some scratches and damaged around the outer edge. I’d recommend replacing this straight away. The case is mainly fibreglass but with a stainless steel bezel & crown. It’s a really unique looking watch and sits nicely on the wrist. There is some signs of wear as shown but with some TLC you could hopefully clean it up even further. It still has its original Tissot branded crown which works exactly as you’d expect. The date complication on this isn’t quickset. It’s sat on its original Tissot strap however as you can see it is heavily worn. We haven’t changed it to keep it original however you’d likely want to get a new strap and swap over the buckles. This is an automatic watch meaning it runs off the movement of your wrist. The watch has a small power reserve however if left for a period of time it will have likely stopped. This comes just as it is, no box or paperwork. This is common for vintage watches unfortunately.
